In-person & Virtual Fishing Tournaments
Presented by:
Bob Johnson Automotive group & Oswego County Tourism Dept.

Welcome to the Oneida Lake virtual Saturday walleye tournament series presented by WalleyeFest LLC and hosted exclusively on the Derby.Fish app. This series will run through October every Saturday. It is a launch anywhere on Oneida Lake tournament, and you have 12 hours to fish and enter your catch. You can fish anytime during those 12 hours, you are not required to fish the entire time. Complete rules are on the Rules page here on the website.
This is a "Best 5" format tournament, with an optional "Longest" (Lunker) leaderboard for an additional fee. You enter your fish directly into the app and it calculates the total inches of your combined "best 5" walleyes. If you are also entered in the "longest" leaderboard the app will keep track of your longest fish entered and add it to the leaderboard if you are entered.
The app requires you to document 3 things with your fish in order to enter it. The app prompts you through each requirement.
1. take a clear picture of the fish on a commercially made bump board, with nose clearly touching the bump.
2. take a hero shot selfie of you holding your fish, face of angler and fish must be clearly visible.
3. record a 15 second maximum video showing the release of the fish as it swims away.
All winners will be required to enter their information on the secure credit card processors site where you purchased the ticket, and you will be paid electronically within 24 hours of the event concluding. There are no awards ceremony for virtual tournaments which is why we have accommodations for digital payments.
